16-year-old Hindu girl abducted; father holds Sayan Sheikh responsible [ West Bengal, India ]

On 17^th November, 2023, a minor Hindu girl has been abducted on her way back home from school. The incident took place in the Murshidabad district of West Bengal.

As per the victim’s father Sayan Sheikh, son of Sahidul Islam is involved in the incident. Sayan Sheikh is a resident of Ghoshpara village under Jalangi Police Station.

As per a media report, the girl is just 16 years old. She attends Sagarpara High School. The Sagarpara Police Station has authority over the school.

Her father claims she did not return home from school that day. They searched everywhere but couldn’t find her. As a result, he lodged a formal complaint with the Sagarpara Police Station.

However, the police were unable to discover or locate the underage Hindu girl until today.

Sukanta Mondal, her father, stated, “A Muslim youth named Sayan Sheikh has kidnapped my daughter.” Outside of school, the kid used to follow my daughter. We reported the incident to the police. However, for unclear reasons, the Police are not actively searching for my daughter.”
