Hindu family beaten, for performing puja in their home [Tripura, India]

A Hindu family was brutally beaten by their Islamic neighbours for performing Puja and blowing the conch in their own home. The woman of the family were assaulted.

The victims are Dipali Debnath, Dipan Debnath, and his father Ratna Chandra Debnath who are residents of Kulbari village in Tripura’s Sipahi District. The Debnath family is the only Hindu family in the Muslim- dominated neighbourhood.

The incident is an example of what will happen to the Hindus when they become a minority in their own country. The current events are leading the Hindus to their doom by leaps and bounds. Then, nobody will be there to note it down.

The Muslim majority warned the family not to carry out Puja and perform other rituals such as blowing the Shankh (conch) which is a part of Hindu prayer practices. The Debnath family, however, bravely followed their religion and defied their threats. Following this, they were attacked by the Islamists. The attackers grabbed the hair of the Hindu woman and assaulted her.

The Debnath family said that the Muslims have been attempting to grab their land and drive them away from the village. As per available information, the family has registered a complaint against the villagers at the Sonamura Police Station.

The Hindus are being driven away from their rightful property. By turning a blind eye to these small-scale incidents the Hindus are digging their own grave, in their own backyard.
