Muhammad Azad Kills Hindu Raj Kapoor Sharma with Brick [Darbhanga, Bihar]

In a tragic incident on June 13th in Darbhanga district, Bihar, 53-year-old Raj Kapoor Sharma lost his life after being struck in the head by a brick thrown from a rooftop. The accused, identified as Muhammad Azad, was arrested on June 16th following the incident and has been placed in custody. According to authorities, Azad has a history of criminal activities.

The incident occurred in the Baheri police station area of Darbhanga district. The complaint, filed by Binde Sharma, stated that Raj Kapoor Sharma, his cousin, was walking along a familiar route in ward number 10 around nine o’clock in the evening. Azad, residing in the same area, was on the roof of his house at that time. Without provocation, Azad allegedly threw a brick at Sharma with the intention to cause harm, resulting in severe head injuries.

Sharma was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Despite efforts by medical personnel, his condition continued to deteriorate, and he was subsequently transferred to Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), where he tragically succumbed to his injuries on June 15th.

Following Sharma’s death, Binde Sharma filed a police complaint against Muhammad Azad. The police promptly registered a case and initiated an investigation, revealing Azad’s deliberate act of throwing the brick that led to Sharma’s fatal injuries.

Describing Azad as having a history of aggressive behavior and previous criminal offenses, Darbhanga police highlighted that he had served jail time in the past for theft-related charges. Authorities arrested Azad and are conducting further investigations to ascertain all facts related to the incident.

The community is reeling from the loss of Raj Kapoor Sharma and expects that justice will be served swiftly through due legal processes.
